Khan Sir Named in Attempt to Murder Case After Violent Attack on Coaching Center in Patna; Legal Battle Escalates to Court
A violent attack at Khan Global Studies Center in Patna has led to serious legal trouble for educator Faisal Khan, known as Khan Sir, who has been named in an attempted murder FIR under Kadamkuan Police Station Case 418/26. The case involves allegations of firing, arrest of security guards, court proceedings, and ongoing investigation.
According to the complaint, an incident took place on the night of June 2, 2026, when unidentified individuals carried out a stone-pelting attack and vandalism at the KGS coaching facility. A security guard was injured during the assault. The situation quickly intensified when allegations emerged regarding firing at the scene. Initially, Khan Sir’s security personnel claimed that shots were fired into the air, but the narrative shifted after video evidence surfaced, leading to deeper scrutiny by law enforcement authorities.
Police investigations reportedly led to the arrest of two security guards associated with Khan Sir. During interrogation, they allegedly stated that the firing was conducted on instructions given by Khan Sir. Based on these statements, authorities registered an FIR naming him as an accused under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with provisions of the Arms Act. The case has since drawn widespread attention in Bihar’s coaching sector, which is already under scrutiny for increasing competition and disputes among institutes.
Following the registration of the FIR, Khan Sir’s mobile phone was found switched off, and he reportedly went missing. Police conducted overnight raids to locate him, but he was not apprehended. Meanwhile, students gathered outside the coaching center in large numbers, expressing support for their teacher and demanding clarity on the allegations.
Reports also indicate links to rival coaching institutions, with individuals associated with an institute run by Roshan Anand among those arrested in connection with the broader incident. The dispute has further fueled speculation about rivalry-driven tensions within the coaching industry.
According to media reports, Khan Sir initially approached the civil court but did not surrender as expected. He is now likely to file a bail petition on Monday. Legal experts suggest that given the non-bailable nature of the charges, arrest remains a possibility, although judicial relief cannot be ruled out depending on the court’s decision.
The case has triggered broader discussions about unrest within Bihar’s coaching ecosystem, with some reports highlighting concerns over escalating competition and alleged misconduct between institutes. The Hindu has noted that the incident reflects growing disorder in the coaching sector, prompting calls for stricter regulatory oversight.
With investigations ongoing and statements from witnesses and accused persons under review, the final direction of the case remains uncertain. However, the legal proceedings are expected to play a decisive role in determining the future of Khan Sir, whose large student following continues to closely monitor developments and hopes for resolution.
